Visiting Grand Bahama Island, The Bahamas

We spent a weekend in Freeport, Grand Bahama exploring and relaxing on the beach. There are many things to do on Grand Bahama Island: sports, casino, explore underwater caves, relax on gorgeous beaches, along with many other activities for couples and for the family.

We went to  Lucayan National Park, here there are underwater caves, and the longest (known) underwater cave system in the world.  It cost $10.00 per person, to visit the park.

The beach of, Lucayan National Park contains beautiful white sand, the water is crystal clear and warm. It is a great place to enjoy peace and rest, with no crowds of people around.

Another fun thing to do in Grand Bahama is to enjoy, the water sports.  You can rent a jet ski, go on a banana boat ride or parasail. You don’t need to make reservations, you just have to wait for the next equipment available.

We went shopping at Port Lucaya marketplace. This beautiful area is, surrounded by restaurants, stores and bars.

Horse riding on the beach: This is a fantastic experiences, that you must try at least once in a lifetime!

(Reservations are required in advance).
