Exploring Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls are a group of large waterfalls located on the Niagara River in eastern North America, between the Great Lakes Erie and Ontario, on the border between the Canadian province of Ontario and New York State.

The name “Niagara” comes from an Iroquois word meaning “water of thunder.”

There are 3 waterfalls: American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and the Canadian “Horseshoe” Falls.

We drove all the way from New York City, to visit Niagara Falls in the American side.

After seeing the waterfalls, we went to downtown. Here you will find hotels, restaurants, bars, casinos, shopping, and souvenir stores.

There is a departure point, to the Maid of the Mist. It offers a boat ride along the waterfalls.  There are also kiosks that sell passes for several tourist attractions and boat rides.
