6 Things Not to Miss in Seoul, South Korea

Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is a country highly industrialized and technologically advanced, but it continues to live and to respect the old traditions of Asia. There is also a major Western influence. Seoul, is a very interesting city, there are a lot of museums, palaces and history.

Here’s the List of 6 Things Not to Miss in Seoul:

1-  Try Korean Barbecue: 

This is a traditional method of grilling beef, pork, or chicken. The dishes are often prepared on grills built into the dining table itself.

2- Check Out the Fish Market:

Would you ever eat a live Octopus?

If your answer is yes, you can try Sannakji (live octopus) at Noryangjin Fish Market, in Dongjak-gu. They cut the octopus into small pieces while it is still alive and then served immediately, Some people wont even cut it, but just bite into it.   There are several restaurants where you can find this tip of food.

3. Seoul Tower:

Located in central Seoul on Namsan Mountain, at 240 meters, this is the highest point of the city.

4- Visit the Historical Villages:

We visited Namsangol Hanok San, a small historical village, full of old, and traditional Korean homes. It was very interesting!

5- Nightlife in Seoul:

Check out Itaewon and Hongdae, these are some of Seoul’s hottest areas. Don’t’ miss Gangna, one of the best places in Seoul. It brings together young, fashionistas, and  interesting people.

6- Visit the Palaces:

Changdeokgung, Changgyeonggung, Deoksugung, Gyeonghuigung, and Gyeongbokgung Palace, these are the largest, and Korea’s most famous royal palace. 

Seoul is a very interesting city, there are a lot of museums, palaces and history. We suggest you, to spend as much time as you exploring this wonderful city.
