A Weekend In Barcelona: Best Things To Do

Saturday:

Check out the Gothic Quarter, where you will see the Cathedral of Barcelona thinning streets, bars, restaurants and stores everywhere, it is a shopping paradise.

Visit the Picasso Museum Check out the collection of art of the most famous Spanish artists of all time. Opening hours:  from monday to saturday 9:00am-7:00pm

Check out Mercado de La Boqueria

If you love to eat, this is the right place for you. Located in the central area, it is Barcelona’s biggest market, and a great spot to stop for drinks and lunch.   Don’t miss the chance to eat seafood or a paella.  Opening hours: from monday to saturday 8:00am-8:30pm.

Visit the Basilica of Sagrada Familia

The Basilica was designed by, the architect Antoni Gaudí.   They started building it in 1882 and are still not finished. Make sure to buy the  Sagrada Familia tickets online, well advance.

Relax on the Beach: 

Spend the rest of day on the beach, the sun is up until 9:30PM in the summer time. There is plenty of time to relax, soak up the sun, watch the sunset and eat delicious food, at the restaurants on the boardwalk and drink Sangria.
