A day trip from Lisbon to beautiful Cascais, Portugal

Cascais is a charming and beautiful town, situated on the coastline, and 30 km North of Lisbon.

How to get to Cascais from Lisbon?

There are different ways to get to Cascais, by car, or by train, which departs every 15 minutes from Cais do Sodré.  Cascais is the last station, and the journay takes about 30 minutes.

Cascais is an awesome place, with very interesting sites to see such as:

Largo de Camões:

When you arrive in Cascais after a few minutes walking from the train station, you will reach the downtown area. Here are several restaurants and boutiques.

Boca do Inferno: (Mouth of hell)

A rocky formation and caves, where the sea enters and the waves explode against the rocks.  They make a loud noise, and so they call it the mouth of hell.

A little further up, is the Cabo da Roca (Cape of Rock), the westernmost point of continental Europe.

Praia do Guincho:

A perfect place for practicing, sports like surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing, along with beautiful natural scenery.
