Visiting Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is the parliamentary capital of South Africa.  It is one of the most beautiful places on the African continent; a land of unique and impressive landscapes, mountains, beaches, vineyards, forest, gardens, harbors and spectacular views!
We spent a few days in Cape Town, eating, doing wine tasting and visiting the beautiful landmarks.

Here’s the list of  places we visited in Cape Town:

Driving the Cape Peninsula, first stop:

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden: This is a beautiful garden filled with plants, flowers a few sculptured pieces, and spectacular views over the bridge, with the city in the background.

Last stop: Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope

Here is the southernmost point of the African continent, where the Atlantic meets the Indian Ocean.

We took a cog train to the top. The views are mesmerizing!

Second day in Cape Town:

Visiting the Table Mountain National Park : It is a flat-topped mount, and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. You can hike up, or buy tickets on site, and take a cable car to the top. We chose the second option.

Evenings Strolls at Long Street: This is “nice place”, to have drinks and eat food.

Watching sunsets on the beach: Clifton Beach and Compass Cay are very close, there are a lot of restaurants with breathtaking sunset views!

The Cape Peninsula is a special and unique place, the mountains and beaches remind us of Rio de Janeiro, and the restaurants remind us of Europe. It is definitely a place that we would love to return, to spend more time and visit more places.
