Bora Bora is a South Pacific island, located in the northwest of Tahiti, in French Polynesia.
Bora Bora is one of most beautiful places we have ever visited.
We enjoyed stunning and peaceful, sunrises and sunsets. We woke up in the morning, with the sounds of the birds, and we jumped right into the lagoon’s warm, clear, salty water to swim.
There were unforgettable views of the sky, which was full of thousands of stars. Sometimes we could even see shooting stars. It was like a dream.
Bora Bora is the best place to go with your loved one. It is a true paradise, with bungalows over the turquoise waters, and calm lagoons, one of the best places, in the world to scuba dive and snorkel. Here you can also swim with sharks and stingrays
The blacktip reef shark, they are seldom poses a danger to humans.
There are many islands in Tahiti, but if you decide to go to Bora Bora, on a vacation or honeymoon, you will need to plan very well for your trip.
Here are our tips, on how to afford your Honeymoon in Bora Bora:
Plan and book well in advance:
For this trip we planned about a year in advance, and we used a travel agency, which helped us with accommodation, airplanes and all the necessary information.
Visit Bora Bora in the low season, and don’t stay in 5 star hotels.
Definitely buy your allowance of liquor in the duty free. You can make a lot cheaper drinks in your room.
What to do in Bora Bora on a Budget:
Go snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking and ride bicycles around the island. Most of this equipment is available with at no extra cost.
Take a ferry to downtown to buy some snacks, fruits and water.
Take group tours, instead of private tours.
Tips: Bring medicine, bug spray and sunscreen. Also bring DVDs to watch movies. There are not too many things to do in the evening, unless you want to sleep under the stars after eating dinner, or see some special performances.
We flew from LA to Papeete. From Papeete, we took an another airplane to Bora Bora. It was a long journey, but we had a lot of fun. Bora Bora is the most beautiful place, we have ever been to!
Best time to visit Bora Bora: Low season from December to March (Bora Bora’s rainy season). We went in January, (a couple years ago) and we were blessed enough to cacth beautiful and sunny days.
